At Burnside Primary School, we believe that History makes a valuable and distinctive contribution to pupils’ education. Learning about the past and the methods used to study sources and draw conclusions helps pupils understand and contribute to the world in which they live.

In all areas of our curriculum, we place an emphasis upon developing key vocabulary to help equip the children with the tools they need to immerse themselves in the subject.

Knowledge organisers are also used to give children a broad overview of what to expect from the unit in terms of learning.
